Time & Location

15 Feb 2020, 13:15 – 16:15
Bermondsey Street, Bermondsey St, Camberwell, London SE1, UK

About the Event

Cacao ceremony feeling the bliss, beauty and brilliance inside you & recognising it in others: When we heal ourselves, our arms open wider.

About this Event

Aligning with the huge astrological and energetic shifts occurring at the start of this new decade, this ceremony will be an opportunity for you to come by yourself, or with your partner, friend or lover. We will deepen into new levels of connection and gratitude. Leaving you feeling juicy, loved up (with yourself of someone else), empowered and in your heart.

I invite you to join me in this sacred cacao ceremony. We will be working with delicious Peruvian ceremonial grade cacao and a specially designed energetic potion from a master healer. Using natures medicines to release the unhelpful ways we see others and ourselves, find deeper connection to who we are, with our selves and others. When we love us, we invite the world to love us too. The more work we do on healing our relationship with our self and realising our brilliance; the more love we have to radiate to another.

“Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.― LOUISE L. HAY

Fruit to break our fast and more.WHAT CACAO IS: Cacao has been used as a food and ceremonial aid for millennia. It's earliest recordings are 2000 BC around the Gulf of Mexico. Working with 100% ceremonial grade Cacao, which is imported from an ethically and environmentally sourced organic cooperative farm in Peru, has the potential for profound healing and inner work to take place.Cacao is vegan, gluten and sugar free and contains a world of wonderful goodness: anandamide (the ‘bliss’ chemical), serotonin, dopamine, histamine, arginine (natural aphrodisiac), phenylethylamine (PEA – the ‘love’ chemical), theobromine, magnesium and antioxidants (15 times more than blueberries). It is perfectly safe to have Cacao whilst pregnant or breast feeding. However, please let me know in advance if you are on antidepressants, strong medication including herbal or Chinese tonics. Or if you have any dietary allergies

HOW TO PREPARE:Please arrive with an empty stomach - no food for 3-4 hours prior to event. A light breakfast of fruit, toast, porridge, green juices, etc, is recommended. Please avoid caffeine and dairy cow products on the day - they do not mix well with Cacao. Keep well hydrated by drinking plenty of water. It is highly recommended to avoid alcohol the day before, a few days if possible. I have also found that the cleaner your diet is for a few days prior to the ceremony the more you are able to take from the experience, as your physical and energetic body is less cluttered. By a clean diet I mean whole foods, ideally vegan, and cooked without deep frying or using large quantities of salt or sugar. In the evening after the ceremony which shall close at approximately 4.15pm, please avoid planning anything too stimulating. The medicine will still be in your system and the best way to maximize the effect is by nurturing yourself (see the aftercare section below), and have a nutritious, healthy and filling meal. I recommend keeping a dream journal for the next few evenings as the plant can carry on working with your subconscious via your dream state.

WHAT TO BRING:*1-2 litres of filtered water (ideally not a single use plastic bottle)*Wear comfy clothes (think yoga with layers)*A journal and pen*Your favourite cup/mug to drink your Cacao and a teaspoon.*Blankets, pillows, meditation cushions if you wish (there will be some available but the more you have the more you can nest). *Some fruit to share to break our fast together (ideally organic)

OPTIONAL:*Items to place on the Altar: a photo of, or the name written down of someone who you want to send some love/healing to, and/or any crystals or special objects you would like to charge up. Please remember to take them home.*Money if you would like to buy some ceremonial cacao to take home with you to deepen your self practice. Message me if you would like more details.

FEEDBACK

I have been to hundreds of ceremonies over the last 30 years of running a retreat centre. Helen's cacao ceremony in Ibiza really was one of the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremonies I have ever been a part of. I had profound realizations, felt a deep connection to my family and that was because of her heart, her knowledge, her light and the beautiful and safe space she created! - Kezia Kaur, Therapist, Healer, Life Coach, Founder & CEO Ashiana Retreats

"I've been wanting to say a massive thanks for holding the space and allowing all that transformation to occur. I found the whole thing very powerful and effective. I think it really is the 'food of the shift'. I want you to know that your ceremony, space, love and food from the gods was what took me and my journey to the next level. So THANK YOU!!!! -Jethro

"Thank you for being such a great facilitator/healer. I'm feeling more whole, more real, like there has been a loosening around my ability to feel love for life. I slept amazingly!" - Natalie

"I had a truly amazing time on Sunday, thank you so much for conducting such a lovely afternoon and I will be sure to come along again. It’s put me in touch with being more decisive, more positive and more prone to speaking my mind and standing by who I am. All that in one session- I know! But it does feel like that." - Maya

"Thank you so much for the beautiful ceremony, I absolutely loved it." - Miranda

"The cacao is still working strong for me, thank you so much. My week has been great, better than usual but I REALLY believe it’s down to the cacao! I felt as though you I was visiting a friend, you set such a lovely vibe. I truly had a eye opening experience and would definitely come again and feel that I connected with you and I trusted you straight away. Meditation was on point!!! Loved it!!!! You have a great talent. Keep up the great work, you’re amazing and you’re doing such a great job and a true blessing to us all. Thank you so much for sharing your gift." - Gem

"THANK YOU for holding such a gracious ceremony yesterday. It was expertly run, what you provided for us to use was great and i loved the way you led the rituals. Full of gratitude to you for stepping forward and bringing us together it was very nourishing and the world needs more of it." - Tim

WHO I AM:I spent most of my life being secretly desperately unhappy, and I ran away from that void by never stopping; whether it was creating more projects to throw myself into, over exercising or partying too hard. The unconscious fear of stopping was overwhelming, because who would I be if I wasn't doing something? I was fuelled by anger at the perceived injustices in the world, both personal and global, and was wearing my self physically, mentally and (a word not in my vocab at the time) spiritually into the ground. Then Glastonbury happened. I discovered plant medicines and Nichiren Buddhism in the same summer and my path did a 180. Now it didn't happen over night (some bits did), but very rapidly I felt significant changes in the way I saw the world and consequently, how I responded to it. My thoughts shifted and with them, my actions.

I have spent the last 6 years making self healing my full time priority. This journey has covered many miles around the globe and even more around the cosmos. I have had to confront a lot of painful realities and learn to trust on a whole new level, as well as discover boundaries! The benefits have been exponential, not only for myself, but my family, friends and many many others I have met along the way. My life has a new, more expansive purpose and I hold ceremonial space with cacao as a way to allow others to connect to their deepest knowing and the mystic magic of the universe. I hope you can join me.

With love,

Helen x
